While persons in any age group can be hypnotized, young adults make the best subjects and are usually very eager to participate. Older audiences and small structured audiences tend to house greater inhibitions which may dilute volunteer reaction to hypnotic suggestions.  Therefore, audiences of 100 or more are recommended for groups comprised primarily of senior citizens. Smaller numbers are appropriate for all other groups.
